Mr. Joel Seah, also known as Teacher Joel, is a veteran drum teacher with over 20 years of drumming expertise and 12 years of music education industry experience. With a passion for music education, Teacher Joel has taught countless students ranging from 4 to 68 years old, showcasing his ability to connect with learners of all ages.
Teacher Joel excels in helping students achieve a variety of musical objectives, whether it’s playing in bands, church worship, learning favorite songs, or preparing for recitals and exams. With his strong foundation in drumming techniques and practical experience in the music business, Teacher Joel guides his students in developing their skills; at the same time nurturing their passion for the drums, and eventually attaining their own personal musical objectives.
Teacher Joel’s love for drums is surpassed only by his love for teaching, and he has discovered that it is his true calling in life. From the words of Teacher Joel, “Nothing gives me more joy than to see a student’s eyes sparkle and light up when I demonstrate a new drumbeat or concept to them. Ultimately, I hope to inspire as many students as I can through my drum classes, as much as they have already inspired me to teach.”
Teacher Joel is proficient in two exam boards, holding a diploma in ANZCA Music Examinations and Grade 8 in Rockschool Examinations. Both qualifications are for Drumkit Performance. His expertise in these qualifications allows him to effectively prepare students for drumming examinations, providing comprehensive instruction in technical skills, musicality, and theory.
Last but not least, Teacher Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, from University College Dublin.
